Weekend in Frisco

Emma had a very fun and eventful weekend! Friday morning Emma and I jumped on the train headed for Frisco to spend the weekend with her Aunts, Uncle and friends. Aunt Dana bought Emma a fun pool floaty so we had to go to the pool Friday evening to try it out and of course she LOVED it! Saturday morning we all went to the lake and of course brought the floaty with us. Emma had so much fun at the lake that she ended up crashing on the tube for a little cat nap. Later that evening Emma had her first Babe's Chicken experience. From the time we walked in the door she couldn't stop looking around and smiling. She felt like such a big girl, being able to sit at the "grown up" table in the high chair eating her mashed potatoes. After such a fun-filled day, Emma slept great that night.
Sunday morning came and we headed back to the train station to go home to Daddy. I know Emma loved her time with her Aunts and Uncle and can't wait to see them again soon! Here are a few pictures from her wonderful weekend!

Injury at school

I visited Emma today during my lunch hour as I am able to do every day. That is one of the perks of having your child enrolled in a daycare facility that is a 2 block walk from your office building. We had a good time at lunch. Emma ate her pineapple puree and then promptly fell asleep for her afternoon nap. I left the daycare knowing I would be back to pick her up around 3pm. Well, not so. At 2:15 I got a call from the daycare asking me to come over because there had been a little accident involving Emma. Well my heart started racing and I ran over. Emma was being held by one of her teachers and seemed content, but her teacher Ms. Susan was very upset and crying. "What happened?" I asked, "Are you o.k.?" Ms. Susan replied that she was o.k. and that she was sorry. 'Sorry for what?' went through my mind. So I went over to Emma and saw the bruise on her swelling lip. What happened? Well....
Ms. Susan had picked up Emma after she had woken from her nap and was making her way across the floor to the changing table when she lost her footing and balance and went down on her knees and then fell over onto her forearm all the while clutching Emma in her arms to her chest. I am not quite sure how Emma got the fat lip, but Ms. Susan's forearm was scraped up. Emma seemed to be fine, but I took her back to the office with me. While at the office, everyone came over to hug on and love little Emma. Of course being the social butterfly that she is, she allowed it. Here is Emma with her first official "boo-boo".

Titan and Emma

I just had to share these pictures. The maid came today so the kitchen floor was really really clean and I thought that Emma could sit and crawl around on the floor while I started a load of laundry. When I peeked my head out of the laundry room, for I never leave Emma unsupervised, this is what I saw....

Bath Time

Recently Emma got a new bathtub. The reason is two-fold. First, because she had outgrown her infant tub and second because her Aunt Alicia knew of the toddler tub. I naively thought that once a baby outgrew the infant tub they graduated to the adult tub. I didn't quite know how I was going to make that transition so I did as any inexperienced first time mom would do and ignored the fact that Emma was climbing out of the infant tub when I would give her a bath.
The toddler tub is a great invention. I got the box and began on the inflation. Almost an hour later as I was feeling very light headed, I had the tub blown up. Emma wasn't quite sure about the new addition at first, but by her third bath, she was splashing and bathing like a pro. Thanks Alicia.

Days spent with Gradma O'Neil and Aunt Alicia

Emma has been blessed having her Grandma O'Neil and Aunt Alicia visit her so often. She wasn't quite sure about them when they arrived on Sunday afternoon, but by Monday morning (when she had no other options) she warmed up to them. I think Emma is starting to go through the stage where she only wants her mommy and daddy, but once we are taken out of the picture, she gets along with most everyone. Here are some fun shots taken of her adventures while being watched after by her Grandma and Aunt.

In addition to her stroller rides and piggy backs, Emma also posed for a few shots dressed in skirts and a dress that her Aunt Robyn made for her. Here are the bandana skirts and the pillow case dress on Emma.

Emma also tried drinking from a glass and really liked the feel of the glass on her lips. She would not let Grandma put the glass down.

After an exciting fun filled 3 days with Grandma and Aunt Alicia, it was time to go back to daycare with Mommy.
