Emma's First Thanksgiving

Emma was visited by her Grandma Hall, Grandma O'Neil and Grandpa O'Neil for her first Thanksgiving. Emma enjoyed spending pre-dinner time with her Grandpa. I think she was telling him how excited she was to be able to sit at the adult table.

Here she is enjoyed mashed potatoes, turkey, and sweet potato casserole.
The next morning Emma and her mom and grandma were up early to go shopping for some black Friday deals. But we all had to bundle up first, because of the cold weather that had hit the Austin area during the night.
Because I had a list of who I needed to purchase gifts for, Emma had to endure a lot. We started at Khol's, then made our way to Costco, and finally into Barton Creek Mall. Emma was quite tired by this point, but after a wardrobe change and a bottle, she was ready to go meet Santa.
Santa was like no other Santa, he played the guitar between photo shoots, had a tambourine for the older children to play with and came over and chatted with Emma before the big picture. Of course, after having such an already busy day, after about 1 minute, Emma was done and let us all know it.
Mom and Grandma still had some shopping to do, so Emma decompressed and relaxed in a car stroller that usually would have cost $5 but that I found abandoned in JCPenny's and used for free. As you can see, Emma is picking up some of her father's bad habits by using only one hand on the wheel, leaning back against the seat, and putting her foot up on the dashboard.
Once we got back in the car and headed home, Emma promptly fell asleep. She had a busy day, but was such a good girl.

Having some weekend fun

After church, I went out on the front porch to pick up the Halloween pumpkins. Emma wanted to help as you are about to see. She had fun out on the front porch, I just wish I had changed her into a play outfit instead of keeping her in her church outfit.

Visit from Aunt Alicia and new carseat

The past two weeks have been full of fun for Emma. First, her Aunt Alicia came to visit and spend some one on one time with Emma. During this visit, Emma had a chance to attend the first Gypsy Picnic which hopes to become an annual event.

The next day Emma went shopping with her Aunt and mom for Thanksgiving decorations, Christmas gifts, and a new carseat. Back at the house, Emma had to make sure that the seat was up to her standards.
Arm rests - check; Cup holder - check; Spacious leg room - check.

Her last night here, Emma got in her new pajama's that Aunt Alicia had purchased for her.

Halloween Fun

HAPPY HALLOWEEN ! Emma did not go trick or treating on her first Halloween because I thought she was too young and T and I do not need unnecessary candy placed around the house for us to snack on. Emma did sit out on the porch with us and greeted all the trick or treaters with real enthusiasm. Before the actual candy give-away, Emma had two Halloween parties to attend; one at her daycare, and one at a daycare mom's house. We had fun at both and enjoyed the first of many Halloweens.

Emma's friend Gabe as Yoda.

Emma's gal-pal Liberty. her buddy Jack as an Austin Bat and now with her number one teacher Ms. Maria.
Back at home we could not forget about the dogs. Titan is not one for accessorizing, but Gideon and Banjo got into the holiday spirit.
